As I participated in the week, I was reminded how important times of stillness and
contemplation are and how much such a time can resonate in one’s life--even more so when change is happening. This is hard for me because it doesn’t feel productive or “like work”, though the whole week was that. It’s so easy to be overly busy and never take time to pause and reflect. Yet a cycle of action and reflection makes up the most balanced life and brings joy and renewal to our work, whomever we may be, and whatever work we may do.
One resolution I made at CREDO is to continue to quietly contemplate and to balance my life in terms of action and reflection. I know this will not “just happen” for me; I will have to be
intentional about it, since I am naturally active rather than still. I invite you to take the same step and even to join with others for it. May your stillness resonate with your blessedness and with God’s presence in your life.
