This Sunday kicks off our Stewardship Drive. One of the things we want to consider this year is how we ourselves are gifts to the congregation at Grace, each of us in the person we are. Each person has a way of seeing the world that is uniquely theirs-- and we often express those in leisure
activities full of energy and joy, discovery and play. Perhaps you are an accountant by day but a quilter in the evenings. Perhaps you are a teacher by day but love to go around the consignment shops on weekends. In American culture, we tend to define ourselves by what we do for a living but our deepest joys often come from the things we do for play and fulfillment.
In a little while, you will hear a sermon about this and have an opportunity to do something unique and fun for Grace. In the meantime, I hope you’ll consider all the things you love to do that express your unique self, and have them ready in your mind.
