An Outline of the Faith, commonly called the Catechism
Q. Who are the ministers of the Church?
A. The ministers of the Church are lay persons, bishops, priests, and deacons.
Although, look at the above for a minute. We are truly“all in this together.” And as we move through this transition time, every one of us is vital to God’s mission here in San Marcos and beyond.
Those who serve on the Altar on Sundays are most visible. They represent all who are in the congregation, because liturgy – the way we worship together – is about us, about people like you and me who are on a journey towards Christ and with Him.
At the end of the service you hear, “Go in peace to love and serve the Lord.” And I hear “Thanks be to God!”
Now that we know who the ministers are, think a bit about God. Think for a bit, and possibly pray as well about what God’s vision is for our Church, and what we are able to see as our mission right here on Rose Ranch Road.
As we go out we are reminded that we are called to be God’s people, God’s family, and live our lives sharing the bounty that we receive from our loving God.
