San Diego Food Bank's Summer Food Drive
During the summer months, our local Food Bank sees a significant increase in need. When school is out, children who depend on free or reduced-price school meals — often breakfast and lunch — no longer have that safety net, and their families must stretch already tight budgets to make up the difference.

Aug 8: An Evening of Music & Hope
For women and children arriving in Tijuana, finding a safe place to stay is only the beginning. The larger challenge is rebuilding a life: finding stable housing, securing childcare, accessing education, recovering from trauma, and creating a path toward independence. That is the work of Comunidad de Luz.
Supporting that work is the purpose behind the second annual An Evening of Music and Hope, which will be held Aug. 8 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral. Featuring the San Diego Philharmonic under the direction of Maestro Diego Guerra, the benefit concert will raise funds to sustain the shelter’s ministry and expand its impact.

Aug 9: Shepherds Field Giftshop
Shepherds Field Giftshop will have a table displaying olive wood artwork crafted by Christian families in Bethlehem and Jerusalem at Grace on Sunday, August 9. These handmade pieces offer parishioners a meaningful way to support Christian communities facing difficult economic, religious, and social circumstances in the Holy Land.

Aug 9 - Sept 13: Invite a Friend to Church
From August 9 to September 13, EDSD is encouraging every congregation to participate in the “Invite a Friend to Church” initiative. Inviting a friend to church may seem like a small gesture, but it can make an incredible impact on someone’s life. It is an act of love, care, and faithfulness that reflects our commitment to the mission of the church

Aug 12: Eucharistic Visitor Training
Bring the gift of Holy Communion to those who are unable to attend church in person. This Eucharistic Visitor Training will equip lay leaders with the theology, pastoral practices, and practical skills needed to serve this important ministry. Whether you are beginning this ministry or seeking certification, this training will prepare you to share Christ's presence with parishioners beyond the church walls.

Oct 2-4: Women's Retreat at Camp Stevens
Bergstrom Lodge has been reserved for Oct. 2-4 for the retreat. The theme this year is Rise Up With a Listening Heart. Go the Women of Grace page for more info.
