ECS has matched Grace with families in need to bring them joy and warmth this Christmas season. If you would like to participate, please select a gift tag with a name and gift request on the Christmas tree located in the coach house and write your name on the sign-up sheet. Tuesday, December 16, 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. 

You are invited to a candlelight service of comfort when Christmas is blue from losses and griefs remembered or current like the loss of a loved one, the loss of a relationship, and/or the loss of direction or dreams. Together we find comfort in the Hope of Christ. No personal sharing. Eucharist will be offered. All are welcome at this table. Includes quiet time for meditation following the service. Anointing with oil for healing will be available.

A collection box has been set up in the back of the church until December 21, so please donate new or gently used blankets to help wrap them in love. Ari Miller and Priscilla Schattman will be heading the drive this year. We are collecting new and gently used blankets for the homeless population in San Diego through the Alpha Project. The shelter can only provide a bed to a limited number, so when they have no more room, they provide a blanket and a tarp.

Children in grades 3–6 are invited to experience the joy of winter camp at PRAISE – Children’s Camp at Camp Stevens, January 17–19, 2026. From crafts, hiking, songs, s’mores, and games (maybe even snow!) to campfires and worship, kids will explore Psalm 105 and what it means to praise God and proclaim God’s love in the world. The $175 registration (grace-based pricing available) includes two nights of lodging, five delicious meals, and all activities. Registration closes December 15 at 9:00 p.m. Scholarships are available for Grace children, please contact the office if you are interested.

PROCLAIM: Epiphany Youth Retreat

Youth in grades 6–12 are invited to the PROCLAIM Epiphany Youth Retreat, February 14–16, 2026, at Camp Stevens! This beloved weekend brings together fun, friends, and faith as we continue exploring this year’s theme—PROCLAIM—through activities that help youth know themselves and share God’s love in the world. The retreat includes lodging, meals, campfires, games, worship, and more. Register by January 14 at 9:00 p.m.! (Scholarships are available for Grace youth. Please contact the office if you are interested.)
