Join Diocesan leaders on September 13, 2025, for Governance – Finance – Property, a day of learning and connection for clergy and lay leaders. Held at Good Samaritan Episcopal Church, the event begins with shared worship and continues with two focused tracks: Finance and Property. The Finance track includes workshops on stewardship and aligning church culture with mission. The Property track covers essential maintenance practices and the balance between rentals and ministry space. Throughout the day, you'll connect with others across the diocese, strengthening relationships and equipping your team for faithful leadership.

Learn about all the many ways you can serve at Grace. There truly is something for everyone! It also provides an opportunity to change your service. If you feel your time is up as Greeter, for example, but you’d love to be on a fellowship team, this is the time to make that known. Or maybe you’ve always thought it would be interesting to Lector, but didn’t know how to make that happen. Now’s the time. Some ministries require some training including the Safe Church program which can be done online. Others, not so much. Whatever your interest, we aim to make it as easy as possible.

Learn about this dialogue series on race, grounded in faith by attending an info session on Wednesday, October 1, at 3:00 p.m. via Zoom. The session includes an overview of the Sacred Ground series, a sampling of the content, and a chance to ask questions.

Grace will be offering a Parents’ Grief Support Group beginning October 15. The group will meet in the Coach House on the 3rd Wednesday of every Month from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. The group will be facilitated by Kathryn Cook and Karen Spohr, who are both bereaved parents. Kathryn was trained specifically as a grief facilitator in 1989 by Seacoast Hospice in Exeter, New Hampshire, where she facilitated Parent grief support groups for nearly seven years on the East Coast. We are looking to provide a safe and secure environment for bereaved parents and to create a community with others who have suffered the loss of a child. We have titled this group For the Love of a Child, and the monthly meetings will be open to anyone who wishes to attend.

The 52nd meeting of Diocesan Convention in EDSD will be held November 7-8, 2025, at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in San Diego. We’re gathering as a community to celebrate all we’ve accomplished and to look to the future of our work to share the good news of God in Christ with the world. While Convention is filled with moments of joy, connection, and worship, it’s also when we roll up our sleeves and do meaningful ministry together. Each year, we adopt a diocesan budget, elect leaders to roles such as the Executive Council, Standing Committee, and General Convention delegates, and vote on resolutions that shape our shared ministry
