Mar 17: Women of Grace Event
Join the Women of Grace at Alta Vista Botanical Garden on Tuesday, March 17, at 12:30 p.m. If you are not a member, they ask for a $5 donation upon entry. Wear your green and bring a snack to share if you wish. Kelly Carr will provide an ice chest, beverages, and paper goods. There's a labyrinth and beautiful gardens to explore together! Please call Kelly Carr if you plan to attend! If you need a ride, please contact the office, as we are arranging carpools.

Mar 17: The ABC's of Brain Change
On March 17 from 11:30 am - 2 pm, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Del Mar (334 14th Street, Del Mar) will host a Community Lunch featuring Dr. Benjamin (Brad) DeVore, Ph.D., Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy and one of the few active-duty Navy neuropsychologists serving military members and beneficiaries at Naval Medical Center San Diego. His presentation will offer practical, accessible insights into memory, behavior, and lifelong cognitive wellness, followed by Q&A. A St. Patrick’s Day–themed lunch from Viewpoint Brewing Co. will be served ($20 donation).

Mar 21: Lenten Wisdom Retreat at Trinity
On March 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Trinity, Escondido. Drawing on Cynthia Bourgeault's teaching, this experiential wisdom retreat will offer spiritual practices to deepen your experience of Holy Week. Cost is $40. Deadline to register is March 19.

Mar 21: Nightwatch
This year’s annual EDSD Lent youth retreat is traveling to Poway! This overnight event is a time for youth from all over the diocese to connect in worship, play, and fellowship. This year, we will consider the people and places in our lives that point us to Jesus, those that call us back when we are led astray, and the ways all of these things lead us through Holy Week to the empty tomb.

Mar 26: Rev. Canon Gwynn Lynch Retirement
Gwynn has touched so many lives with her wisdom, steadiness, humor, and deep faith. If you’ve shared ministry, friendship, laughter, or meaningful moments with her over the years, this evening is for you. On March 26 from 5 - 8 p.m., we’ll gather at the Episcopal Church Center in Ocean Beach (2083 Sunset Cliffs Blvd.) for a joyful celebration with food, music, and dancing. It will be a relaxed, festive evening–simply a chance to be together and to honor Gwynn as she begins this next chapter.

Mar 30: Repairers of the Breach: A Holy Week Service of Lament and Witness
How do we hold grief and hope together in this moment? Bishop Susan invites you to join our diocese in a service of prayer, lament, and public witness at Good Samaritan Episcopal Church (4321 Eastgate Mall). Encouraged by Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe, this gathering will begin at 6:30 p.m. on March 30 with an indoor liturgy and continue with a public procession and closing rite in the community. Prayers and music will be offered in English and Spanish.

RefugeeNet's Story Fest will center on the stories of the families we've helped to resettle over the past year, inviting them to share what the first twelve months of life in San Diego have been like. On April 25, you are invited to join us at Good Samaritan Episcopal Church in San Diego for Leadership Academy, a day dedicated to learning for both clergy and lay leaders within our diocese. This time spent learning in community facilitates congregational growth and connection within our diocesan community. New and experienced leaders come together to explore new ideas and develop skills that will impact their ministries in the year ahead. One of the most remarkable blessings of our diocese is the depth of wisdom and talent within its leaders. Leadership Academy celebrates and builds upon that shared strength, highlighting voices from different congregations and communities in our diocesan life.

ECS invites you to Evening on the Bay, a purpose-driven fundraising reception designed for meaningful connection and real community impact. With a breathtaking setting at San Diego's stunning new waterfront venue and a streamlined program, the focus stays where it belongs, on people and purpose. Your participation directly supports ECS programs in early childhood education, behavioral health, homelessness services, and substance use disorder treatment across San Diego.
The event will feature heavy hors d'oeuvres, a hosted bar, and local impact.
